Ather Primary School

The years where habits become character.

Primary is the longest division in any school. We use those six years to build strong readers, careful thinkers, and confident young people who like coming to school.

Our mission

Mastery, with imagination.

We teach for mastery — small, deliberate progressions in reading, writing, and mathematics — and we make room every week for the messy, joyful work of art, music, drama, and inquiry projects.

Our curriculum is bilingual from Year 1, with formal Arabic instruction every day and English as the medium for science and humanities.

Our standards

The benchmarks we hold ourselves to.

  • 100% of Year 6 students reading at or above grade level.
  • Average class size of 18, capped at 22.
  • Weekly homework load published every term — no surprises.
  • Three written reports per year + two parent-teacher conferences.
What guides us

Three commitments to every Primary family.

No child is left behind.

Early-intervention reading and numeracy clinics begin in Year 2 the moment a gap appears.

No child is held back.

Stretch tracks in maths, Arabic, and English for students working beyond grade level.

No child is invisible.

Form tutors meet every student 1:1 every fortnight to talk about how school is going.

Come see Primary in motion.

Tours happen during class hours, not after — because the building looks different when children are in it.
